How would you feel if all your sisters talked about were their boyfriends? How would you feel if all the plans of going out were about double dates or triple dates?
How would you feel if they plan to go out right in front of you and yet conveniently excluding you?
Whenever they go out together, the boyfriends come along since they're good buddies with each other already.
But me?
I'm married to school and work. And I can't bring them for double dates.
And then I'd feel sad and horrible. Not because I'm bitter. And surprisingly, it doesn't make me want to go out there and find a bf.
Gawd. Just typing it down makes me shudder.
It makes me want to go out there and find another excuse to keep busy.
The more time I spend working, the less time I have to think about such shit.
I'm addicted to work because in front of a class, I feel powerful. It's a selfish emotion, maybe. But I feel that I can really be myself when I teach. It's the only times when I am sure of myself. Hell, sometimes, it's the only time I feel happy.
And then the time of the month comes and it all unravels and I realise what a mess I've put myself in. It's odd. An odd sense of fulfillment. But at least, spending all that time away, I get money at the end of the month. Thank god for capitalism.
