The lecturer showed us a clip of the show "Girls out loud" and there was this section that tests unsuspecting Singaporeans how well they knew their acronyms.
One of the acronyms tested were U.D.D.
To be perfectly honest, if I hadn't watched the show earlier, I would've been dumbfounded like most of the other students were.
but yes, I was one of those few who got so bored that watching something stupid was the only thing stopping myself from suicide.
And that's how I knew that U.D.D = urine detecting device. *ta-da!*
Well anyway, I was thinking.
My lift has to be one of the few lifts in Singapore not yet instaled with a U.D.D.
Perhaps it was because the citizens living in the estate were acutely responsible.
Unfortunately, sometime last month, the estate coughed up a compulsive urinator.
He does it on the stone benches at the lobby.
And taking advantage of the absence of a UDD in the lift, he does it in the lift as well!
Everynight, as I enter the lift, weary and sleepy from a full day in school, I am welcomed by a fragrant stench that shoots straight up my olfactory system till it gets jammed by the overload of particles that my brain tells me belong to a toilet bowl.
So how is it that the lift smells like a toilet bowl??
Well, the obvious answer is that someone urinated in it!
Which psycho would urinate in the lift, night after night?
What, like does he get a high doing so?
Or does he just hate people so much that it satisfies him enough to kill their sense of smell?
Whatever it is, I just hope the town council does something, fast.
Maybe it's time for the lifts to be installed for UDD.
As it turns out, we're not so responsible after all.

I've been thinking.
It would do the world good if Singaporeans who find it difficult to face the shower in the cold mornings in this side of the equator should really invest in a good perfume.
Aww hell, even if they can't afford perfumes, deodorants would suffice.
Taking the bus in the early mornings can be hell of a torture for anyone's noses.
Though apparently, not the people who are the source of discomfort for all other commuters.
Don't they feel the heat emanating from the humid air?
Fine, I know it's early in the morning, but please, Singapore is not some polar country where the sun sets at 3pm.
By 8am the sun is already radiating its unmerciful splendour, increasing the risk of skin cancer by beating UV rays down at us!
And I do believe every household is installed with a heater for the shower.
Oh yes, Singapore does not have its own source of water, that's right.
Perhaps that's why Singaporeans are such a gracious and responsible bunch to be conserving water and bathing only once a day.
Please, Singapore weather is much too hot for that.
The morning bus is always filled with people stinking of stale sweat from the night before and out-of-bed hair.
Supermodels spent their money in vain trying to get that out-of-bed look.
But seriously, they were looking for advice from the wrong sort!
Hairstylists with their well-coiffed locks know nuts about out-of-bed hair!
They really should ask the average no-morning-shower Singaporeans for help!
Bathing in the morning is not an idiosyncracy.
Really. One ought to at least keep a certain standard of hygiene.
The saving grace for some poeple is at least, their lack of fear in investing in a perfume or deodorant.
Others just simply shun these things like the plague, mentally noting in their minds that these 'toxic' chemicals will do harm to their skin.
Well, let's all adopt this trend!
Do not bathe in the morning,
Avoid everything that has a slightest trace of scent that is not similar to your own body sweat.
Do take the morning bus,
and if it's crowded, hold on to the the handrails dangling from the ceiling of the bus,
not the metal bars.
Do feel free to stink up the bus as much as you can.
(This includes airing your sweat-soaked armpits in the faces of other commuters and burping after that delicious breakfast of garlic bread)
Thank you for being a gracious Singaporean.
Have a Nice Day Ahead.

my mum.
my sisters.
my grandma.
my darling.
my bitch.
my joker.
my bestfriend.
my lame-ing partner.
my listening ear.
my corruptor.
my twin.
my conscience.
my shopping partner.
my blading partner.
my basketball-pro friend.
my smartass friend.
my sweet friend.
my victim.
my laughing bitch.
I've figured out that these are all the people who actually matters in my life.
And recent incidences have reminded me that they're not always top priority in my life, and to that, I truly express deep regret. From this day on, I solemnly swear that I will act in the best interests of myself and of those whom I love. x)
To the people in blue, I love you all to bits and pieces and and I love the NikeFutsal2020 bag you all got for me! (My bitch sister is happy that I'll stop using hers -.-) And daym, I love the gold hoop earrings. (:
To my clueless friend; You will survive Valentine's Day, you're not that hopeless, I think. xP Wait. Uhm. On second thoughts, let's hope you live.
Darling, I miss you.
It's our joke, you don't understand. x)

Saturday, 6th January.
The doorbell rang.
My cousin opened the door, and I heard Lina's voice, asking if I was in.
Without answering, my cousin turned to me and raised an eyebrow at me.
"Your friend", was all she said.
I poked my head through the little opening of the door and
OH MY GOD!
I was screaming "WHATTHEHELL??!!"
And giving Lina an incredulous/shocked look.
"LINA! I THOUGHT IT WAS ONLY YOU!"
It turns out, she brought a whole gang with her.
Farah, Lina, Shirlyn, Liyana, Farhana, Zakiah, and Diyanah came.
I was so shocked/touched/amazed that they all took the trouble to come.
They came, and thrust a cake into my arms,
and a big bag that Lina claimed, "was for her cousin".
Right, Lina. (: and to think that I actually believed her.
Amazing. I love them. (:
So this sort of marks our 6th year of friendship.
4th year for Zakiah and Shirlyn.
They made me make a birthday wish before I blew all the candles out.
And I didn't even manage to blow it in one breath!
Mind you, this is the first time in 10 years that I had to blow candles on a cake!
But yes, I made a wish.
I don't know if they say you're not supposed to reveal the wish in case it doesn't come true.
But in my case, I believe otherwise.
I looked up into each of the smiling faces surrounding me on that day,
and I wished, God, bless all my friends, I love them all so much...
And I blew.
God was not telling me that I was not loved,
He was telling me I need to be patient.

*woot!woot!*
It's post #200!!
And I have to say,
HAPPY belated BIRTHDAY TO ME!
(taking a leaf out of Zulaiha's book, talking to myself)
So Khad, now that you're 18, you know that it's officially legal for you to smoke/drink/go clubbing/ watch M18 and do all kinds of stuff that will make you old and wrinkly in record time.
But you listen to me,
You are never to go near those things, allright?
you hear me?
Just because it's legal, it does not mean it's acceptable for you to do all that.
Besides, listen to yourself talking,
with your "...smoking in Singapore is expensive.. "
Exactly! Go burn your already pathetic allowance on cigarettes then, I dare you!
You think having smoke in your stomach will make you full?
(actually it will but that's not the point)
For heaven's sake, you're doing a 1000word research paper on the harmful effects of smoking!
The irony! -.-
As for drinking, do you seriously for once, think your mum will not skin you alive if she caught you drinking?
Plus, it's common knowledge that beer tastes horrible, so why bother to waste your money?
Besides, you know you can never forgive yourself for doing anything against your religious principles, like, drinking, for one.
And speaking of drinking, you do know you should be steering off carbonated drinks, don't you?
Didn't you hear the dentist saying it'll make your teeth rot?!
So brush your teeth thrice a day, or as often as possible till your freaking gums bleed from all the brushing.
At least your teeth won't rot. (:
Hahah.
Okay, actually, it's a really bad *sok lucu* (read, act cute) habit to talk to yourself.
But my consience had been nagging me.. uhm, yeah, literally nagging me..
How many special people change
How many lives are living strange
Where were you when we were getting high?

Whoever coined the saying, "Absence makes the hear grow fonder" seriously ought to be shot for bullshitting.
Absence does not make the heart grow fonder, it makes the heart forget
and possibly, even instill hatred in the heart.
This is what I'd been explaining to myself,
just trying to convince myself that my love/hate relationship with my bestfriends is really nothing peculiar,
because the saying (as mentioned above) is totally bs.
I find myself in the spot of having to apologize for the numerous SMSes unreplied,
or the cold SMS replies,
or the calls answered with "I'm busy" when really, I'm not.
Because, this is what happens when I receive an SMS.
Firstly, I'll go "now which idiot is SMSing me??"
(especially if my phone is in the other room, or I'm watching a hot show on TV)
Then, I read the message.
If the message makes me laugh, you're safe but if it doesn't, god help you.
Regardless of whether it's an important message, I might just not reply.
The thing is, I'm just too sick of breaking too many thumbnails replying SMSes with this hell-of-a-phone.
I tend to treat my bestfriends worse.
And Shirin, I know, you're a constant vitcim. x)
It's totally not your fault, you just happen to SMS me at the wrong times. =)
Although I grit my teeth and curse them in a thousand different languages, my bestfriends are the people who help pull me through.
And so, to anyone who believes you are a bestfriend of mine,
(aka been at the receiving end of my PMS moodswings/ bouts of insecurity/ bitching mood/ monologue/ hyper mood)
I thank you for being there for me and for putting up with my constant nonsense.
Lol, and yes, this is the post I was trying to write when I was on the phone with you, monologuing, while you were too sick to say anything. x)
