bang;
BANG;
boom;
Not all murders have a motive
This one certainly didn't
We've reached the end of the road
Ladies and Gentlemen, thank you for the ride

Welcoming wood like an old friend.
What am I talking about, it is an old friend!
I think I've got the plague. Hahah!
Watch out! Maybe it's contagious too!
It's funny.
Christine didn't want to bother me cos she thought I was busy with work.
Okay, I may not have much time to go out and all, but somehow, I don't think I'm busy enough.
And Shirin is nagging that we should meet up soon.
She's gonna make a lovely naggy teacher. April is suddenly looking very menacing.
I feel like I'm doing something, but maybe not enough.
I'm getting better everyday, I swear it! And I don't give myself any chances, no matter how tired I am, I still do it!
But maybe life's not much better without the colours. As much as I love monochrome, life doesn't always work that way.
I always think that there's still so much depth undiscovered in black and white, why bother exploring colours?
Hahah.
I visited Lina yesterday to make use of her inefficient scanner. (: Okay, probably the scanner/computer just basically doesn't like me but anyway. She brought up some rather interesting points of argument which shall not be mentioned here, because I'm such a hypocrite and I don't want to be an enemy of the state. (:
And she was saying, she couldn't get her parents to see that re-taking is a waste of time even though, (HAHAH!) her mum retook A levels before and did worse the 2nd time.
Maybe different people have different opinions, but I don't think it's the end of the road. Sure, you might take a longer time to get up there, but eventually, what matters is you don't stop climbing to the top. Godknows the climb up is steep as hell and slippery to boot, and that it's only going to get worse but why bother even starting the climb if you're not going to go through to the top.
Sir Edmund Hillary started climbing Mount Everest with the goal of reaching the top. He was curious to see what the world would look like from way up there and the only way to see it, is of course, to climb.
So climb we shall, brothers and sisters, climb we shall. If only to see the end, climb; we still shall. Should we fall and break our bones, we recuperate for a while and climb on. For as long as air is in our lungs and blood is in our veins, climb we shall.
And at the end of it all, we shall see each other again.
Race you to the top! (:

Being back on home soil feels odd.
Everything suddenly seems paler in comparison, like, God suddenly took some of the colour out of my eyes.
I had to wipe my glasses several times cos I thought they were making everything seem blurry.
At the end of it, I didn't want to leave, not because I had too much fun, but because it had presented me with hope at a time when I thought hope and future had ganged up and left me on the sidelines.
It was a place where hundreds and thousands of stars could shine together, neither outshining the other, whereas home, was a place where only the few brightest stars ruled the nightsky.
I'll upload pictures another day. (:
In the meantime, I need to wake the sleeping giant within.

I've been feeling agitated and easily annoyed these days.
I've always hated crowded buses but it makes the situation a thousand times worse if the bus was croded with people who just didn't have the skill required to navigate through the bus and not lose your head before you reach your destination.
There was this irritating woman who shoved her way through. To make matters worse, she was carrying her daughter, probably about 4 or 5 years old who was sleeping. The poor girl's head was lolling about on her shoulder and she just shoved her way through anyway. And she got stuck, literally, cannot move an inch anywhere; right behind me. And then, apparently, the girl started becoming too heavy so she kept tossing the girl to get a more comfortable grip. And the poor kid's head kept bouncing off the pole and other people's shoulders!
It grated on my nerves that while we're practically on the verge of asphyxiation, the people at the back just refused to move in, preferring to hang on to the door rails as if their life depended on it! Even if they're not alighting anytime soon!
I thought morning rush hour was bad. This is ten times worse. At least, the working adults have an inkling of consideration, like, they actually DO move into the centre of the carriage. ( but some may argue it's because they all stop at the same place anyway)
My Ustaz was saying, in some Arab countries, shops close whenever the shopkeepers feel like. No matter how far you've journeyed to reach them, they might just throw a "Tomorrow!" at you and actually expect you to come tomorrow instead. He was saying other people take that patiently, as a course of life because that's how it is over there but what would a Singaporean most likely have done? ....
That's right. Complain.
To CASE, to the government, to the neighbours.
And then, BOYCOTT THE SHOP!!
Maybe a fast-paced life is not so good after all. We are steadily losing our ability to tolerate inefficiency, or rather, perceived inefficiency.
My sister says that Australia is no different from the Arabs (although perhaps not to such an extent). Can Singaporeans understand the idea of shopping malls that actually only operate office hours?
By 7 pm, there is, literally, nothing else to do but go home and sleep.
Maybe this time I won't go through it all in a daze. Maybe I will actually learn something interesting about other cultures.
Maybe my mum will finally be convinced that Australia is not cheaper than France, despite all their lies about high standards of living in Europe.
Ohwell . The big day is coming.
And only now I realise what a big word 'Hope' is.
