I was thinking along the lines of rock and roll and how they say that the hand signal that rockers make all the time, y'know, the open palm with the middle and fourth finger folded under the thumb, really is a symbol of satanism.
And that the downward pointing star or rather, a pentagon in a circle; a symbol favoured by certain rockers are really symbols for satanism.
Hmm, I guess it's not so good to be posting an image of it.
but anyhow, I remember people telling me that one can decode a satanic message from playing hotel california in reverse. I'm not trying to act smart by debunking so-called theoretical findings but please, anyone who has listened to a song played in reverse would agree that even the holiest of holy gospels can sound satanic when played in reverse!
Thus we can conclude, as I had read from a random's blog, that there is no such thing as satanic music because, hell, if you go by that definition, all music is satanic.
And I aint so convinced that there are symbols for satanism. Because what are symbols but fruits of man's imagination?
Who gets to decide that a symbol means something?
Okay, try this,
fold the last three fingers of your right hand, leaving the index finger and the thumb out.
Ensure that the angle between the index and the thumb is approximately 90degrees,
Next, place this on your forehead, palm facing out.
Ta-da!
A symbol of loser-ism, no?
Ooooohhh, you just made that symbol!
Ohno! you're now officially a loser!
I mean, hello?
I don't think it works that way.
So I don't know why certain people are so goddamned terrified of symbols, when I think, they're really, mostly bogus.
Anyhow, Malaysia, knowing the innovative and horrifyingly creative minds behind the propaganda committee (no doubt, they have a nicer word for this); invented something new! The Symbol of Unity (Symbol Perpaduan, colours of our nation)
I'm sure you've seen Datuk Siti Nurhaliza sing about it on RTM, and it was, by the way, cheesier than cheddar mixed with mozzarella! (and omg, so cheesy of me?)
And I think the symbol not only looks, but feels strange, try doing it!
And I vaguely recall the song going something like,
"Ayuhlah, buatkan symbol perpaduan.."
Correct me if I'm wrong there, but I doubt anyone cares, really. (:
I don't know if I agree with M'sia's bumiputera despite 75% of the Malay population claiming that it's crucial. I don't deny that some rights needs to be enforced or the natives of the land are just gonna be as stamped out as the Aborigines of Australia or the Mauris of New Zealand, but hell, they've become complacent.
For people still living the illusion that the Bumiputera is good, go read The Malay Dilemma by Dr Mahathir Mohd. Guaranteed to blow those pesky ideals right out of your earholes.
The reason why malays keep thinking that the government owes them a living.. well, go read it!
It's almost tradition to start with a "It's been so long since I last blogged" excuse after one returns from taking a hiatus from the blogging world.
But anyway, I figured I didn't need an excuse. People should automatically know and understand that blogging is far from the checklist of priorities stowed in the crevices of my grey matter.
I think it's stress and the need to ind an outlet for it.
I've taken to doodling all over my mom's soon-to-be-painted wall with dark pink paint leftover from my sister who's painting her dream happyhouse colour scheme bedroom.
My masterpiece started out pretty and docile with dragonflies, butterflies, flowers and the like.
I even transformed an ugly smear of pain into a unicorn to fit in with the other pretty little creatures to create a sort of mini Alice in Wonderland feeling.
I was happy with my creations.
and then I got bored.
I started telling the little sister I'd draw a nice beautiful portrait of her.
I drew a nice little piggy with crinkled ears and snout like so to represent the pig that she is.
She was outraged and grabbed the paintbrush from me to paint a huge elephant head equipped with ears that would've made dumbo jealous.
And, she was quick to point out, that she was even nice enough to draw my elephantine ass.
She was placated and much much satisfied that she drew the elephant (me) to take up half the wall and even returned the paintbrush to me.
I was struck by a brilliant idea just then and started drawing out other animals of the zoo family.
The cute little panda that no one could mistake,
the little whale with water blowing out its spout,
a lizard that seemed to have sprouted a head in place of its tail,
and of course, the king of all kings; a sleeping polar bear wearing a crown.
I'm happy with my creations but the mother of course had a rude shock when she entered her room to see that she now had to sleep with the images of the zoo pack right above the headboard.
Hmm.
I should've drawn it on the nice beige wall instead of the yellow-green-beige timeline wall.
then the zoo animals would've been the first things she has to see in the mornings for a while yet.
But naahh, I'm not so mean. (:
The insane things we all do to keep sane.
Anyway, we (or rather, they) painted the hall in 2 shades of green.
Yes, green, you did not mis-read.
The dark green seemed to charm us despite the earlier disappointment that it wasn't as dark as we had wanted. But the combination of dark green and peppermint is just wrong.
It reminded everyone of hospital wards with the same colourcode.
Think SGH. (:
Actually come to think of it, I wouldn't mind if the darkgreen/peppermint combo came with the SGH smell.
Call me insane but I love the smell of antiseptic;
(as well as paint! I'm disappointed it barely lasted 2 days this time. It usually lasts for a week),
I love its smell almost as much as I love being under anaesthetic, localized or general.
Although the thought sometimes scare me but after the actual thing is over, I actually enjoy getting injections. Hmm. Almost as much as I love anarex.
It's a very good thing Singapore has such a tight control on drugs. I would've been a very willing scapegoat, otherwise.
At least there's one thing the big honchos up there are doing right.
The mother just told me to type this down
(after gruelling questions about blogging, no less)
"Write there, 'While I'm blogging, my mother says goodnight' ".
-.-
My mother for you.
It seems she's keen on starting her own.
But I have strong suspicions it's because she thinks she can have access to ours if she makes one. Hahah! (:
