2006 is coming to an end.
Damn, soon, I'd have to say goodbye to 2006.
And I have never been a great fan of goodbyes.
Well, it's difficult to not get sentimental about this.
Because 2006, to me, had been a year of changes.
Like, new friends, new enemies, new school, new environment, new system, new uniform.
Really, the only thing that remained unchanged, was probably just my name.
There are times I'd look at my old friends quizzically and think, "they've changed."
but then I realise, if they've changed, so have I.
I will not list what I did.
But I do know that this is the year I'd been lazy, hardworking, insomniac, caffeine-addict, bitchy, wild, disrespectful, caring, heartbroken, merciless, stupid, blind, backstabbed, happy, laughing, joking, tired, injured..... and the list does not end there.
I know there are some friends who stood by me throughout the year and others who disappear.
There are people who made me stronger, happier, wiser.... and older.
I will remember 2006 as the year I grew up.

I swear, I can go crazy if they do that everyday.
I'm starting to develop a kind of hatred and irritation, more or less like an allergy, to people who are about 10-13 years of age.
They make my hair stand with their "I'm-oh-so-cool-look-at-me!" attitude
or their "I'm-old-enough-to-scream-at-adults" attitude
or their "I'm-old-enough-so-I-can-laugh-my-ass-off-at-adult-jokes-I-barely-understand" thinking.
Whichever it is, it's just horrifyingly ghastly, the way they act.
The term, "spoiled brats" is an understatement.
Seriously, just because you're 13, you don't get the right to scream your head off at the very person who changed your diapers everytime you crapped in your pants when you were a baby.
No, you don't get to scream random vulgarities that you barely understand just because she thought you went out too much.
Ah well....
Kids these days...

For people who haven't actually read Eragon and know nuts about the actual written story, the movie might well have been good, heck, excellent even.
Hahah.
Call me horrible (actually I think we were horrible; good for us the theatre was empty) but the movie was just not up to standard, I think.
As I explained over and over to Shirin, it's probably because of the tight budget they run.
[Caution: Movie Spoilers Ahead! Scroll to End of Spoilers if you're planning to watch Eragon]
And the Urgals and Razaghs (I think that's how it's spelled?) were not as big, fat nor as ugly as we expected.
Nor Arya as elvish as we expected.
She came out as a rather lame version of Arwen (aka Liv Tyler) in Lord of The Rings.
And without the pointy ears!
What kinda elf doesn't have pointy ears???
All this, by the way, was discussed throughout the length of the movie.
As I said, we were being horribly Singaporean.
There were too many glitches, like, they didn't check it quite as meticulously as hoped.
For example, in one scene, Brom was stabbed with a spear
and thrust Zar'roc (a sword, not a guy with a hot name) to Eragon
and Eragon fights off the ugly-but-not-quite-there-yet creatures.
(Somewhere during all this chaos, Murtagh came to their rescue by shooting some arrows)
And then the dragon, Saphira, sweeps down, grabs them and zooms off to safety.
They reached a clearing and Brom lay down, apparently in the throes of death.
They said some sad words la-di-da
(but really, it was Eragon's stupidity. Think Frodo and Gandalf's death)
And then *WOW* Brom produces Zar'roc (all sheathed and tied to a leather strap) from under his cloak!
A miracle just happened!
A dying man actually sheathed a sword when he was supposed to be gasping for his last breath?
just so he could pass it down to Eragon?
But didn't he already do so like, 5 seconds ago?
Trust me, Shirin and I are not the best audience to sit in front of during any movie.
But we were ten times worse in this one.
(Plus the fact that the theatre had horrible sound-proofing)
We exclaimed so many times, "Isn't it supposed to be like this?"
"EH! Didn't he do this?"
"Isn't he supposed to do this first?"
"Eh, what's that?"
"Isn't she supposed to be this?"
"Stupid" came out too many times.
[End of horribly horrible Movie Spoilers.]
The movie could be said as good if one has absolutely no freaking idea how the sequence of events were supposed to be.
And one could also say it's something like, a mini-LOTR.
I have to say I'm disappointed that certain events that I looked forward to watching had been totally cut out but I guess there is a limit as to how much you can put in a 2 hour low budget movie.
Well, don't just listen to me, go watch it if you want to.
People often have different perspectives. (:
Just, don't watch with Shirin if you aren't planning on noticing every wrong detail.
Hahahahaha.
I'm telling you, she did the same thing during Pirates of The Carribeans II!
Fun; but that's just what I think, y'know. xP

Warning: Bimbotic moments ahead!
Click the [X] button at the top right-hand corner of the page if you are bimbo-intolerant!
I just cannot get over how skinny my thighs look.
I am absolutely in love with them.
Imagine this; my sister wears this FBT shorts and my mum says to her, "go change, don't you have something more decent to wear?"
The next day, I wore it and my mum says nothing. x)
In other words, I actually don't look as indecent as my sister when I wear it.
How great is that???
But then again, as I mentioned before, it's probably the brace strapped to my right thigh that makes it look skinny.
And besides, my mum knows any other shorts are just not short enough to wear the brace comfortably. Ahahaha.

For the first time ever, I'm going to go against my principle of never posting pictures of myself in fear of them being nabbed by Umairah and then being plastered all over her blog.
But I just remembered, I disabled-right-click for a very good reason. x)
Hahah. (And it's a mirror image in case you're wondering)
I did not have them air-brushed, I assure you.
And the brace is real, it's my latest must-have accessory, mind you.
It's the one that says "AirLight" on the sticker at the back.
And yes, the stitches are still there, and will remain there until sometime next week.
By the way, the blinding white stick you see on the right is my newfound boyfriend, my crutch.
(I can almost hear Ain exclaiming, "another BF??" hahah, what can I do, man, I fall in love too easily)
The picture is one of post-swelling.
I should have posted one of when my right leg was still swollen and numb from the anaesthesia but I was too sick to care. x)
Seriously, for people who's reaally keen on losing weight off their thighs, I can lend you my brace. (:
I'll teach you the things they make me do in physio and you decide if wearing a brace 24/7 is not good exercise.
Oh and (I won't take a picture of it) but my ass sure is achin'! And my back too!
So now, I will reaaaally have a sexy back. Whoohoooo! XD
Kudos to me. x)
Hahah!
Ohgosh, you're still reading?
Man, you rawk! XD
You're my bestest friend in the whole wide world if you can put up with my rubbish and my bimbotic moments.
Hahah, aye whattheheck, kudos to you too! (:
End of Bimbotic post!

I always thought Physiotherapists were the badguys.
But I never knew they can be evil as well.
She asked a few questions, and then, she assigned me to this bald, severe-looking man with biceps as big as my thighs on a fat day.
But slowly, I started to realise that although he looked evil, the man was not the source of the torture I was put through.
It came from an innocuous-looking little white card.
It says "Air-light" on the brace, but do not be fooled, the knee brace is not as light as air, if you were so smart as to believe what it says in the first place.
And when the evil card says, "Leg lift 50X" the trainer looks at me and says, "Leg lift 50x".
I'm making him sound like a minion of the card, like the sole purpose of his existence is to carry out the evil deeds of the card.
(Which, I believe is not so far from the truth, but hey, that's just me)
In total, I believe I lifted my leg, fitted with the heavy, albeit "airlight" brace, 200 times, plus a few more, since I lost count too many times.
But that's not all.
They made me do a variety of exercises with a big red ball. (How suggestive... xD )
At the end of it all, I only remember that I'm f*king ass tired and that I want to go home, eat and sleep and probably never wake up.
I was flying off to my world of dreams...
And then I came crashing back down to earth.
A big red flashing sign came up in my mind's eye.
"PHYSIO on THURSDAY at 8.30am"
Sheeeesssshh.
Talk about bursting my bubble. -.-'

I'm like horribly lazy (as can be expected) to continue Jakarta blogging cos I would reaaaaally rather forget all about it.
Anyway, if you're reaally bored and wondering what I was up to in Jakarta, go check out http://s137.photobucket.com/albums/q215/lafoomyass/loecu%20banget/
My knee is shitass painful and I'm tired of sleeping.
My sister couldn't resist snapping a picture of me in the hospital gown on Friday. But I am so not going to post it here and embarass myself. Hahah.
You're probably gonna be damn jealous cos my left thigh looks skinnyass compared to the big black brace I'm wearing on my right.
And plus the hopping around on my left foot, I've lost all traces of the half a dozen doughnuts I downed in Jakarta!
HAHAHA, Izeen, BEAT THAT! XD
Oh but I did say, LEFT thigh. x)
I'm probably gonna end up reaally disfigured with one thigh bigger than the other. x)
I'm hoping I can walk more steadily by next week.
I can already walk, but it takes years for me to reach the toilet from the bedroom that I much prefer to just rely on my crutches.
Okay people, get this in your head, for the moment, I canNOT walk.
This also translates into:-
NO shopping x(
NO rollerblading
NO movie
And uhm, NO walking down the street with Hips Don't Lie stuck in my head, either. Lol.
I'll get back to you when I'm better, alright?
I miss shopping already. =(

I think I'll take a respite from Jakarta blogging.
It's only been Day 2, I know but somehow, I'm just so tired of thinking about Jakarta.
The memories, they say, will not be forgotten.
let me be the exception.
I want them to be forgotten so I don't have to deal with things like missing my hotel room or the hotel breakfast or the kids there.
I was sorting out my books (since my mum bought a new bookcase and was absolutely nagging me to shift all my books over) when I came across this poem.
I must've written this around May or June but definitely before Mid Year Exams.
I miss the times you looked at me,
With worry and concern in your eyes.
And how I would try to convince you
But you can see through all the lies.
I know not how you do it,
You could see me deep inside,
you always knew when there's trouble
No matter how I tried to hide.
I would give that smile and assure you,
That really, I am alright.
And then you frown at me and say,
"From me, you cannot hide."
I know not why you bothered,
You could have walked away.
In so many ways I'm indebted
Because you chose to stay.
I kinda had a flashback.
The past is not exactly a good friend of mine.
I don't know what happened, but I do remember I was the one who pushed you away.
I guess I was skeptical, I didn't want to believe that anyone would care.
Call me stupid but what I did, I thought, was the best for us both.
I do believe you're happier with how things are now.
And you've proven that no matter how things turn out, you will always be there for me.
Thank you for being my friend. =)
>7:57 PM
I figured if I blogged about Day 2 exactly like how I blogged about day 1, you'll be bored out of your wits reading it.
And besides, Izeen pict-blogged or rather, blogged with a whole lot of pictures about day 2...
If I'm not wrong?
Right, Izeen? x)
Oh by the way, my aunt loves to call Izeen EZ-link.
It's totally lame, but cute eh?
I think I'll start calling Izeen that too. =)
Oh wait, and get minced and made into Shepherd's pie?
Uhh...
The prospects don't look too good, eh?
So anyway, I was saying.
On Day 2 of the Jakarta trip, we were overwhelmed by the breakfast spread at the hotel.
We stared open-mouthed at the delicious pastries that were beckoning to us.
We hardly waited to put our bags down before running to the spread and hogging the pastries like the kiasu Singaporeans we were.

I guess we were being so obviously Singaporean that two of the guests dining there looked at each other, shook their heads and said in Mandarin, "Singaporeans."
Okay, no.
I don't believe we're that bad!
He probably just recognized our uniforms!
Yeah! That could be it!
Just to show that I owned the pastry section..
I was there even when everyone else has fled!
I OWNED, MAN!

It was the first day of school at SMA N71 for us.
But we were too preoccupied with finishing the pastry that we got caught in the morning rush hour on the way to school and came late.
Oh, but on the way to school...
We saw some reaaaaaally interesting people.
They go around saying, "Sawatdee-ha".
Get it ? x)
I think she's got a sexy back.
(If Lyana may excuse me using the title of her favourite song..)

Wait till you see that she's actually a he !
Freaky eh?
Oh, there's another one!
This time, we caught the face.

If we weren't in a bus with tinted windows....
Izeen would probably have been in the hereafter by now.
According to mum, they can be quite aggressive.
And somewhere near there, along the same traffic junction, we saw this cute little sign.

It probably means nothing to you, or to anyone else.
But it means a lot to the people who knew POS personally, especially Izeen and I.
Just the word: POS, is a symbol of our affection for the person. X)
So anyway, after a whole day of school, we went to Bogor National Park.
Which is just a prettier version of the Botanical Gardens, I think.
Although I have to admit, I haven't been to the Botanical Gardens for years.
As soon as we arrived, we were greeted by a smiling gardener, holding a neon green bag in hand.

Okay fine, that's just Izeen. x)

The flowers were very pretty.
And they bloomed well.
But apart from that, that's all there was to see there; flowers and trees.
We went to this place to eat after that.
Izeen and I were ravenously hungry that we actually contemplated killing this fish and roasting it.

But we figured that metal doesn't taste so good when it's roasted.
The place was reaaaaallly cool.

It was on water! How cool is that?

And they had swings! Which didn't help me like the food better.

But that's all I loved about that restaurant; the ambience.
Personally, I find that the food just sucked.
But that could be because it was the first time I was trying Indonesian food.
This ashtray was on the table.
And I found it really cool that it says all the "Smoking can harm the blablabla.. (like smokers would actually bother to read)... " in Bahasa Indonesia!

This was the last picture we took on that day...
And I still think it's the best scenery picture we took.
Flower-like leaves. =)
Really pretty and when we looked up, we could see the rain drops falling through the leaves.
Beautiful.

I'm back from Jakarta!
I loved it there.
Although there were some things I'd rather not have experienced, it was all worth it.
Or else I would never know how horrible people can be.
Or how bitchy or violent or big-mouthed they can be...
Or how they cut you from the back..
The traffic jams in Jakarta brings out the evil in people.
And so does spending almost 10 hours a day for 12 days.
It's embarassing to be fooled.
Jakarta is not all smiles, the smiles are fake, if you get what I mean.
Jakarta will probably stab you from behind when you least expect it.
Interesting?
